Staffing:
We have a kennel technician present
after hours at all times (including
holidays).
Vet Information:
Please don't forget your shot records! This
information needs to be updated once a year. Check
our
Requirements
page to verify you pet has all the required shots.
Leash & Collar:
Please make sure when you arrive at Oceanside Pet
Hotel,
you bring you're pet in on a
leash.
We take off all collars for boarding and return your
leash when you drop off your pet.
Boarding Restrictions
Oceanside does not accept pets for boarding over the age of nine (9)
years, nor any pet with a major medical problem. Pets who have had
major surgery within the previous three weeks - i.e. spay procedure,
abdominal procedures, are also not accepted for boarding.
Toys And Bedding
You are
welcome to bring one toy or blanket in for your pet with the understanding
that there may be the possibility that it may not come back in the same
condition. It can be destroyed or disposed of when you return. Also,
please understand that your dog will behave in a different way when he is
away from home, so he might tear or completely destroy his bedding or
toys. Furthermore, during the morning we are on a very tight schedule to
clean the kennel and to exercise all the dogs and cats, so it is difficult
to find toys or bones which the dog has buried in his bedding. We don't accept beds because they are
difficult to keep clean.
Please make sure that you put either
your last name or your pet's name on the toy or blanket you bring.

Food
We take care of the
feeding and the type of food we feed is dry mixed with
warm H2O.
Most dogs do
not have any problem eating, but if your dog is on a special diet or is a
finicky eater, you are welcome to bring in your own brand of food. People
often ask us if they get a discount if they bring in their own food, but
actually it is more time consuming to feed special diets than it is to
feed our own food. There are some kennels that will charge extra to feed
special diets; in our case we will do it for free. If you want your dog to
be fed twice a day, just let the front office clerk know and we will take
care of it.
Treats and rawhides are welcome. It is your own
responsibility to make sure that all the articles which you bring in have
your last name or your pet's name on them.

Medication
If
your dog is on medication you need to bring in written instructions on how
it should be given, how often and what it is for.
We do require that all medications be
the exact amount / number of pills to be
administered during that boarding stay.
Please do not bring large bottles of
pills - just the number needed.
We cannot give injections of any kind.
We can give medication one to three times a day.
We charge per medication for each time administered. Please let the
front office know if you brought enough medication for your pet's complete
stay.
Even though
we are not a veterinary hospital, our pet care technicians are trained in
the art of administering medication in the form of spray, ointment,
powder, drops, or pills.
Just let our front office staff know about their administration schedule
and everything will be taken care of.

Touring Our
Facility
-
Kennel tours are
held from 11:30am - 2:00pm Monday through Saturday.
-
All tours are
cancelled a week before, during and after all major holidays.
-
Please ask all
questions in the office before or after the tour because the tours
are kept short so the pets do not get upset.
-
Please watch all
children during the tour and please do not pet or tease the pets.
-
Tours must be kept
to two or less people for each tour. We recommend that you tour the
kennel before you bring your pet to board.
-
Please do not bring
your pet along when you come for the tour.
-
We also ask that you
say good-bye to your dog in the office, because visiting him in the
kennel will make it more difficult for him to adjust.
